When Classic Cinemas of Chicago, IL wanted to update their outdoor marquee boards, they knew Smart LED Inc. were the ones to call. After carefully comparing Smart LED’s offerings with those of Samsung, Watchfire, and others, Classic Cinemas opted to use our FX3 HDR Black ultra-fine pixel pitch screens designed explicitly for outdoor use.
With Smart LED’s FX3 (3.9mm) HDR Black, they were able to breathe new life into the two marquees, which measure 4×14 (Screen A) and 4×10 (Screen B). Screen B is capable of displaying up to 5 different movie posters side-by-side while screen A is capable of displaying astonishing 7 movie posters side-by-side.
The ultra-fine, 3.9mm pixel pitch screens also take advantage of our custom frame with magnetically attached front panels and a 180mph wind load rating. Their aluminum construction ensures they remain well within safe operation temperatures, even on 100+ F days.
The impressive HDR capability allows for rich colors, stunning fidelity, and a constant 5000 nits of black LED output brightness, which is equivalent to 10,000 nits of a white standard color SMD LED.
The system uses Smart LED’s cloud system to handle the programming from any location with internet access.
